AlchemyBro - Day 3
PS studies
fire notes:
- Brush: chalk 60 with flow jitter turned on at 0%.
- base layer normal, above layer is overlay, layer above that is normal, layer above that is overlay, and so on.
- Bottom areas had wet brush turned on - apparently fire is more firey when wet.
- Highlights were done by setting the brush itself to Color Dodge or Linear Dodge - no idea what the difference is between the two options, but each stroke under this method in both normal and overlay layers make controllable highlight areas without getting the whitening rainbow glow of the burn tool.
- flicks were able to be done by turning on Dual Brush, sometimes with Texture Brush on as well.
Smoke notes:
-Brush: custom cloud brush with soft edges, flow and opacity jitter turned on at 0%.
-To reduce the 'ghostly' edges of smoke, turned on Dual Brush. Made awesome speckles that added crunch. Other method would be to use a Chalk brush set to Dual Brush.
